The weather changes quickly here too. On Friday it was lovely and sunny (14 degrees), then Saturday morning it was snowing... and Sunday was back to being sunny and warmish (~15 degrees). Today was around 18 degrees and tomorrow (Tues) will be ~21 degrees, before it drops off again with snow and rain on Wed... but the weekend will be warm again... confused yet? Point is, it's up and down.

Hi Kate. When I was there (quite some time ago) I thought they covered their main street with a glass roof and turned it into a mall. Is that right or am I mistaken?
Are you anticipating getting a truck? How are you travelling around the place now?
I can't believe you went all the way to Kanadar, only to get work at a Berger joint. So, did they want fries with that?
Sorry.
Hey, those photos of the park really take me back to my time in Hokkaido. The highly manicured parks coming back to life after being under snow for 6 months... I loved that time of year. Australia just doesn't do spring like it (with the exception of the high country in Victoria and Tasmania, I guess).
I love that shot of Calgary from the park. I have saved it on the 'puter. Looks like you could sprint all the way down the hill into the centre of the city.
The truck thing is familiar to me. My mate Aaron calls his short wheel base Pajero a "truck". But I know the monsters you are referring to. All those macho vehicles from the States.
Interesting that they don't use the word bin like we do, this is one Canadianism I was unaware of.
Good to catch up with you the other night. And great to see you updating the blog. Any chance you took, and could post some climbing snaps?
Lots of love,
A
